

The Challenge.
1Password, a leader in identity security that serves over 150,000 businesses, needed a way to increase brand visibility and engagement at large - scale events. Specifically at the 2024 Presidents Cup, one of the biggest annual golf events in the world. Being one of only three Global Partners for the event, they needed a giveaway that could be used on site, by over 8,000 attendees, then taken home and cherished. Their goal was to create an unforgettable experience for guests, that also showed their brand boldly on screen for viewers across the globe.
The PromoCentric Solution.
PromoCentric developed a premium, fully customized giveaway strategy tailored to 1Password’s brand. By curating high-quality, useful promo, we ensured that attendees would not only engage with the brand at the event but also take home an item they’d keep and use, reinforcing brand recognition beyond the fairway.
- Classic Event, Modern Take: Instead of going for the traditional cap, we collaborated on a fun, yet golf-friendly bucket hat. With nearly half of all new golfers (45%) being under the age of 35*, they needed an on-trend giveaway that would resonate strongly.
- Your Brand, Their Choice: We decided to offer a reversible bucket hat, so guests had two colors to choose from, adding a sense of individuality (while staying on brand).
- Timely Delivery: The PromoCentric team was able to collaborate effortlessly with 1Password and managed their quick timeline—from design to production, we delivered over 8,000 hats right to the putting green (or rather, delivered right to the Royal Montreal Golf Club’s receiving dock). We handled all communication with the supplier, venue, and even the truck drivers, so our clients could focus on other aspects of their event.
- The Brand is in the Details: For a project this large, our designers made sure that 1Password’s giveaway was consistent with their onsite venue Club 1Password’s vibe. We created multiple pre-production samples until the color, sizing, and messaging were just right (even under a tight deadline).
